Death and Rebirth

This blog has been dead for a few months because blogger updated their shit and it screwed everything up. So we just got over it. We still can't figure out how to fix it, so we just made it simple. No links, show dates, etc. Giving this horseshit another chance!

Happy Birthday Mike Ball

Mike and Fagenstein were best buds growing up. Unfortunately Mike passed away '94. He left some great music with us. On our west coast tour Fagenstein had a bunch of great stories about Mike and the Beguiled. Happy Birthday / RIP.

Candy Wagon

It seems in the chopper scene today people are getting bored building "period correct" choppers. There has been a lot of buzz about trikes the past year or two. People have built some nice trikes but they all look unfinished. A friend of ours calls them "glorified ATC's for the street." So far to my knowledge no one of recent years has built a full bodied wacky show trike. It might be do to lack of money, time, and or imagination that is take to build a trike like the Candy Wagon. He obtained the trike sheriff's bike auction in downtown LA. It was used by meter maids to ticket cars. It had a left handled throttle so they could mark tires with chalk as they passed by. Roth built a trailer to be towed behind the trike that could seat two people and big load of candy. The concept was to use it in parades and throw out candy to the children. This happened only once because kids became so enamored with the candy that it spooked the parade horses and disrupted the entire parade. The Candy Wagon is powered by 45 flathead motor and coincidentally the top speed of the trike was only 45 miles per hour. There are a lot of neat details Ilove on this bike. The molded tank with "fink" face in it is a brain melter. The modern maroon upswept seat against that gold metal flake with uber classy pin striping is so simple yet trips me out. The clencher is the exhaust frenched through the body! As far as I have read the bike is still around and all original including the paint. It's owned by Bill Hill of Temperance, MI. The "Fink" face. Totally nuts! Such a sweet profile. NIce ass! The trailer is merely the cherry on top.

Looks like we have a new single cumin' out just in time for tour (we hope!) It's a barn burner! Two rippers that encompass the biker lifestyle we know absolutely nothing about. Not totally sure but there might be some limited color wax involved...

Mondo Video Reunion

Tomorrow Night probably the craziest gig of the year is going down. Plus special guests The Kids of Widney High. There might even be a secret guest band showing up. It will be a bunch of freaks and mediocre mexican food!
